ACNA Celebrates Our 5th Anniversary at the 2025 Member Meeting Conducted at the NCCHC National Conference!

It seems hard to believe, but ACNA has been active and growing for 5 years!  We started out in March 2020 during the same week that the U.S. entered the COVID shutdown, but we grew and continued to grow despite that challenge.  We have not only grown our membership, but we have grown our support of correctional nurses with corrections-specific educational webinars that are available via live webinar and in an On Demand platform, by demanding that correctional nursing be recognized as a nursing specialty by the major nursing organizations like ANA, by taking responsibility for revising the Correctional Nursing: Scope and Standards of Nursing as well as by developing policy statements and briefs supporting excellent correctional nursing practice.  Please take a look at photos taken at our 2025 Member Meeting and 5 Year Celebration when we celebrated correctional nursing.
