Are you a nurse that works in prisons or jails? If so, you are invited to participate in a research study!
Nurses of any licensure type, who have worked in prisons or jails for at least one
year, are invited to participate in a study that has been approved by the UT Austin
IRB.
The study aims to explore the extent of family engagement of nurses caring
for patients experiencing incarceration. Specifically, the current practice of family engagement, the value of family engagement in this care setting, and the
perceived impacts on families. The study consists of a brief survey that should
take 5 minutes to complete and a 60-minute interview that will be conducted
over Zoom. Study participation is voluntary. A $30 gift card will be provided for
participating in the study. Please see the attached flyer for information and to
