Additional Information

The authoritarian nature of correctional settings requires that nurse leaders have strong leadership skills, and a firm grasp of the ethical principles required to create a culture of quality and safety where nurses can thrive.  For nurses contemplating a move into a leadership position and those existing correctional nurse leaders who wish to elevate their present knowledge and skills, this presentation will introduce the principles of correctional nurse leadership and provide resources that will support the acquisition of those principles and skills.  Our panel for this presentation – Mary Muse, Heather Norman, Lori Roscoe and Deborah Shelton – are four acknowledged leaders in our specialty and collectively have a wealth of knowledge to share with correctional nurses
